There are several types of Special Needs Trust (SNT): First-Party Special Needs Trusts, Third-Party Special Needs Trusts, and Pooled Special Needs Trusts. A first-party special needs trust is funded with the disabled individual’s assets and is typically used to protect their eligibility for government benefits while covering additional expenses. On the other hand, a third-party special needs trust is funded by someone other than the beneficiary, like a family member, to provide for the disabled individual without affecting their eligibility for government assistance programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
